Below are some additional notes and scriptures that coincide with Sunday's message (1/2/22) to help you dive deeper in your personal study time!
1. I KNOW WHO I AM.
YOU WERE CREATED IN HIS IMAGE.
Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD.
Galatians 3:26 “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 4:7 “So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”
YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
““You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:13-16
YOU ARE BLESSED
Ephesians 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR
Romans 8:37 "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
2. I KNOW WHO’S I AM.
YOU ARE GOD’S SPECIAL POSSESSION
Matthew 3:17 "And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.””
1 Peter 2:9-10 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
Exodus 19:5 “Now if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be My treasured possession out of all the nations–for the whole earth is Mine.”
Deuteronomy 7:6 “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His prized possession, above all peoples on the face of the earth.”
3. I KNOW WHY I AM.
Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.””
John 4:34 "Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”
Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
4. I KNOW WHERE I AM.
Acts 17:26 "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,”
Ephesians 2:8-10 MSG Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.
“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?””
Esther 4:14
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
5. I KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO.
Psalms 37:23 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 20:5 "Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, But a man of understanding will draw it out.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Isaiah 43:7 Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’”
John 15:8 “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
John 13:34-35 ""A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.””
1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
“I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.”
John 17:4
Mark 16:15 "He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Acts 1:8 “‘But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’”
