I’LL TESTIFY OF THE SEAS THAT WE’VE CROSSED.
That’s what we’ve come to do this morning. We’ve come to TESTIFY OF THE BATTLES THAT OUR GOD WON. We’ve come to TESTIFY OF THE SEAS THAT WE’VE CROSSED.
As we prepare to cross the street to our new location, as we continue to praise God for our current location.
We’re reminded that we didn’t get here over night, and we won’t get to our new location overnight. Everything that has happened, and everything that will happen, will take place LITTLE BY LITTLE. Exodus 23:30
“LITTLE BY LITTLE I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.”

We want it to happen like yesterday. We want it to happen overnight, but God often does it…
LITTLE BY LITTLE
Jesus says in John 5:17,
“My Father is ALWAYS WORKING, and so am I.” John 5:17
📝 Even when it LOOKS like God isn’t AT WORK, He’s AT WORK.
Quite often, He’s working little by little.
Ephesians 3:20 says…
“NOW unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20
We’re living in THE NOW, of exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think, WITH MUCH MORE TO COME. But we didn’t get here over night. It started little by little. In fact it all started at a kitchen table.
And even though we praise God for these grounds and for what’s to come, this is where Motion Church started—Pamlico High School.
By the grace of God this is where Motion Church is going—formerly known as Neuse River Bait & Tackle.

We’re living in THE NOW, of exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think, with much more to come. But we won’t get there over night. It’s all been taking place little by little.
Here’s what our little by little has been looking like and will look like…
It’s going to happen, but it’s not going to happen over night, it’s going to happen, little by little.
As powerful as God is, He didn’t create the world in one day. He did it, little by little.
You didn’t just come here this morning to hear about all of that…
WHAT’S YOUR LITTLE BY LITTLE?
Maybe you’re in a little by little moment and it’s been hard. Maybe you’re in a little by little moment and it’s been discouraging. I say to you today Zechariah 4:10,
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…
Zechariah 4:10
Since the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, then so should you.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way.”
Psalm 37:23
📝 Praise Him ON THE STEPS.
I’m not living in my dream yet, but I’ll praise you on the steps.
I’m not living in my vision yet, but I’ll praise you on the steps.
We haven’t moved into our new church location yet, but I’ll praise you on the steps.
It hasn’t fully come to pass yet, but I’ll praise you on the steps.
I’m not where I want to be, but I praise God I’m not where I used to be, I’ll praise you on the steps.
I’ll praise you on the steps, because…
📝 SMALL BEGINNINGS ARE BETTER THAN NO BEGINNINGS.
Even when it came to Jesus Christ coming to earth, to save us from our sins, it didn’t happen OVERNIGHT, it happened OVERTIME, little by little.
To this Galatians 4:4 says,
“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son,” Galatians 4:4
It didn’t happen all at once. It didn’t all happen over night. It happened in the fullness of God’s timing. The bottom line is this...
📝 For every PROMISE there’s a PROCESS.
For every PROMISE there’s a PROCESS.
📝 If you’re not willing to go through the PROCESS, God isn’t obligated to hand you the PROMISE.
Have you considered how mightily God used Moses, but that didn’t start until Moses was 80. Moses was in the process.
Have you considered how David was anointed King in 1 Samuel 16, but didn’t step into his kingdom until 2 Samuel 1. David was in the process.
After Joseph received his dreams from God, next he found himself in the pit, in slavery, in prison, then the palace. Joseph was in the process but through it all Joseph kept looking.
Everyone’s process looks different, but everyone must go through the process.
📝 The process prepares you for the PROMISE.
📝 The process prepares you for the POSITION.
📝 The process prepares you for the PROVISION.
"Little by little I will drive them out before you, UNTIL YOU HAVE INCREASED enough to take possession of the land.”
Exodus 23:30
📝 PREPARE for where you’re GOING.
📝 PRAISE for where you’ve BEEN.
📝 PRAY where you ARE.
You’re not forgotten about, you’re just in the process.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
Don’t lose faith in the wait.
Don’t lose hope in the wait.
Don’t lose your expectation in the wait.
Your harvest is coming!
God doesn’t give seeds of dreams without sending rain.
God doesn’t give seeds of visions without sending rain.
God doesn’t give seeds of faith without sending rain.
God doesn’t give seeds of hope without sending rain.
God doesn’t give seeds of promise without sending rain.
📝 If what you SEE, doesn’t match what God SAID—keep looking!
“Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees,”
I Kings 18:41-42
“and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “THERE IS NOTHING.” And seven times he said, “GO AGAIN.””
I Kings 18:43
“Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!”…
I Kings 18:44
The cloud had been rising out of the sea, the servant just didn’t see it.
Just because you don’t see God working ON THE surface, doesn’t mean that God isn’t working UNDER THE SURFACE.
God doesn’t give seeds of dreams without sending rain.
God doesn’t give seeds of visions without sending rain.
God doesn’t give seeds of promise without sending rain.

He’s working little by little.
