"A Moment In Time"

King Solomon instructs us in Ecclesiastes 9:10, our key verse for today…
“Whatever your hand finds to do, DO IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”

I want to speak to you today from this subject…
A MOMENT IN TIME
That’s all we have. In the grand scheme of things, in the grand scheme of eternity, all we have is A MOMENT IN TIME.
📝 SEIZING the moment is greater than STALLING in the moment.
This brings us face to face with today’s question. If all I have is a moment in time, then….
WHAT WILL I DO WITH MY MOMENT IN TIME?
Ironically, Luke 4:5 says.
And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in A MOMENT OF TIME,”
Luke 4:5 ESV
“and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.””
Luke 4:6-7 ESV
The devil has been at this a long time. He’s keenly aware that all we have is a moment in time, and he wants you to squander it. He’s aware that all we have is a moment in time, and he wants you to waste it.
If all we have is a moment in time, then what will you do with your moment in time? Solomon said, in Ecclesiastes 9:10…

Can I tell you something? In a nutshell, life is all about learning how to work what’s in your hand.

📝 There is a REASON.
There is a DREAM.
There is a VISION.
There is a PURPOSE to your existence.
It will be found when you REACH FOR GOD with all of your heart.

Since all life is, is a moment in time, to all my parents, future parents, and spiritual parents, I say to you today…

“I planted, Apollos watered, BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE.”

INCREASE WILL COME!
The farmer doesn’t stop sowing because of a bad day. The farmer doesn’t stop sowing because of a storm. The farmer doesn’t stop sowing because of one attack on his crop. The farmer doesn’t stop sowing because of a drought.
There will be some sunny days. There will be rainy days. There will be dry days. There will be storms, but through it all, KEEP RAISING. Through it all, KEEP TRAINING THEM UP IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO. Through it all KEEP SOWING. INCREASE WILL COME! “I planted, Apollos watered, BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE.”
All farmers experience the same weather.
You’re not alone. Keep sowing. Keep tilling. Keep training.
Here’s why…
📝 When everything around them begins to shake, when everything around them begins to move, you along with God must be their CONSTANT.
Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 9:10..

📝 When it comes to your children, BE HANDS ON as possible.
I know the temptation to CHECK OUT, because so much has CHECKED IN, but be hands on as as possible. I know they think they don’t need you, and that they think they know it all, and that they roll their eyes, and suck their teeth, and sometimes it’s a fight everyday, but whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all of your might. BE HANDS ON AS POSSIBLE.

We’re called to REACH. We’re called to RAISE, but here’s the kicker…
📝 It’s hard to REACH when your hands are full of UNFORGIVENESS.
It’s hard to RAISE when your heart is full of BITTERNESS.
That pain is effecting your REACH. That bitterness is effecting your RAISE.
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS.”
Luke 6:45 NKJV
📝 I forgive you FOR ME. I forgive you FOR US.
📝 Forgiveness isn’t about letting THEM off the hook. Forgiveness is about letting your PEACE off the hook. Forgiveness is about letting your JOY off the hook. Forgiveness is about letting your FUTURE off the hook.
How do you get there???
“Finally, his father, Isaac, said to him, “You will live away from the richness of the earth, and away from the dew of the heaven above.” Genesis 27:39

📝 The pathway to forgiveness is through A DECISION.
"When you decide that you’re no longer going to allow anger to get the best of you. When you decide you’re no longer going to allow bitterness to have the upper hand. When you decide you’re no longer going to allow the past to control you, THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL YOU BREAK FREE FROM IT’S CONTROL!”
When you decide that unforgiveness is too high of a price for you to pay for your peace of mind, when you decide that enough is enough, that’s the day that you’re going to break free and shake yourself free from the residue of WHAT WAS and walk into WHAT’S NOW.
Because here’s the deal…
📝 Since life is but a MOMENT, I refuse to live my moment in MISERY.
We learned last week that there’s a distinct difference between GUARDING your heart versus BARRICADING your heart.
My contribution to the next generation will not be this.
As for me, MY LIFE has already been poured out as AN OFFERING TO GOD.The time of my death is near.

On that day, my life’s offering to The King will not be this!

He’s not just LORD, He’s KING.
What a King David was. What a King Solomon was. What a King Josiah was, but NONE compare to King Jesus. He’s King of Kings. He’s Lord of Lord’s and…
KING JESUS IS COMING BACK.

““Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’”

“And THE KING will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch AS YOU DID it to one of the least of these My brethren, YOU DID IT TO ME.’”

On that day, we’ll finally see that SEIZING the moment was truly greater than STALLING IN THE MOMENT.
Whatever you do, do it from the heart, AS SOMETHING DONE FOR THE LORD and not for people,

WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR MOMENT IN TIME?
