"Let Him Work"

“LET YOUR SPEECH ALWAYS BE WITH GRACE, SEASONED WITH SALT, that you may know how YOU OUGHT TO ANSWER EACH ONE.”

Colossians 4:6 NKJV

“Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have THE RIGHT RESPONSE FOR EVERYONE.”

Colossians 4:6 NLT

“But THE HOLY SPIRIT PRODUCES THIS KIND OF FRUIT IN OUR LIVES: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…”

Galatians 5:22-23 NLT

📝 We must PARTAKE of what the Holy Spirit PRODUCES.

Even though it’s readily available, and it’s been produced, I must partake of love and allow it to flow through me in unlovable situations.

📝 None of this works, unless you allow the Holy Spirit to TAKE THE LEAD.

“For as many as are LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, these are sons of God.”

Romans 8:14 NKJV

HAVE YOU ALLOWED THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TAKE THE LEAD IN YOUR LIFE? 

📝 How I TREAT PEOPLE matters.

📝 My WORDS matter.

HARD TRUTH….

“For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.”

James 3:7-8 ESV

“With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.”

James 3:9 ESV

“From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.”

James 3:10 ESV

GOOD NEWS…

“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, THE HELPER will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.”

John 16:7 ESV

CURRENT REALITY

“And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.””

Acts 19:1-2 NKJV

📝 The Holy Spirit is here to help, but I MUST LET HIM WORK.

📝 Let the Holy Spirit work, when it comes to HOW WE HANDLE PEOPLE.

📝 Always CHECK THE HANDLE.

During your quiet time, on the drive home, or as you lay down at night, take time to reflect how you handled people that day.

This is key because,

📝 What you don’t EXAMINE you will continue to EXCUSE.

This is what you have to do...

📝 MEASURE how you desire to be handled, and every opportunity you get use that same measure.

Jesus said it like this in Luke 6:31,

📝 "Treat others THE SAME WAY you want them to treat you.”

And while you’re checking the handle, I must ask you….

HOW HAS LIFE MISHANDLED YOU? 

HOW HAS LIFE NOT BEEN GENTLE TO YOU?

IF YOU NEVER HANDLE MISHANDLED MOMENTS, YOU’LL CONTINUE TO MISHANDLE OTHERS.

📝 • UNMASK it, and be HEALED.

Sometimes rudeness, and being short with people is nothing more than a defense mechanism to keep people at bay, and from getting too close to you. The last person that you allowed to get close to you hurt you. Disappointed you. From that time on, you made a vow to yourself, that you’ll never allow yourself to get hurt or used by anybody ever again. In return…

YOU BECAME YOUR DEFENDER INSTEAD OF GOD. 

And in return you begin to offend people. 

Because of the hurt, you’ve been using OFFENSE as your DEFENSE.

Psalm 62:5…

I depend on God alone; I put my hope in him. Psalm 62:5 GNT

He goes on to say in verse 6…

He alone protects and saves me; HE IS MY DEFENDER, and I shall never be defeated.

📝 I will spend my days trying to get HIS IMAGE across rather than MY POINT.

“And THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS US IN OUR WEAKNESS…

Romans 8:26 NLT

James said there’s no greater weakness than our tongue.

📝 • The Holy Spirit is here to HELP you. Let Him work.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS…”

John 14:26 NKJV

📝 • The Holy Spirit is here to TEACH you all things. Let Him work. 

THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS TO TEACH YOU HOW TO BECOME THE GREATEST VERSION OF YOU.

📝 In order for Him to be able to teach you all things, you must be TEACHABLE in all things. 

“Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. THIS MAN HAD BEEN INSTRUCTED IN THE WAY OF THE LORD; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.”

Acts 18:24-25 NKJV

“So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.”

Acts 18:26 NKJV

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, AND BRING TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE ALL THINGS THAT I SAID TO YOU.”

John 14:26 NKJV

📝 • The Holy Spirit is here to bring all things to your REMEMBRANCE. Let Him work. 

📝 • BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit.

📝 • RECEIVE the Holy Spirit.

📝 • RELEASE the Holy Spirit.

“But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and NEW LIFE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT.”

Titus 3:4-5 NLT

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20 NKJV

📝 “For you died, and YOUR LIFE IS HIDDEN with Christ in God.”

Colossians 3:3 NKJV 

HOW WELL HAS YOUR LIFE BEEN HIDDEN LATELY?
